Why a privacy statement?

Privacy and security of your data is very important to RTiOT. We adhere to the Dutch and European privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is effective from the 25th of May, 2018. We want to be transparent, both with our products, as with the usage of your personal data. That is why we want to inform you which personal data we collect/process, why we do that and what happens to your data.

Why do we process personal data?

RTiOT is an organization that operates in the ‘business to business’ (B2B) market. Your personal data is processed so we can provide you the information that you requested via our website (www.rtiot.nl/en/). We also process personal information to be able to execute the agreements with our customers. Without your data, we are unable to provide information, products or services.

Which personal data is collected and how?

Below you will find an overview of the personal data that we process:

• Name- and surname;
• Address data;
• Telephone number;
• E-mail address;
• Bank account number;
• Activity data on our website.

Such data will mainly be collected digitally via a registration web page (on our website (www.rtiot.nl/en/). We can also request personal data in writing or verbally. We will never ask for more information than we need to be able to contact you, to deliver our products and services and to make functional products. You always have the choice to decide which information you want to share with us. When you share information with us, this should be a conscious choice.

Our website and / or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years of age, unless they have permission from parents or a guardian. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without that permission, please contact us via info@rtiot.nl and we will remove this information.

Why we handle personal data

RTiOT processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• Handling your payment
• Being able to call or e-mail you in order to be able to perform our services
• To deliver goods and services to you
• For legal obligations, such as data for our tax return and invoicing

Automated decision making

RTiOT does not take decisions based on automated processing of cases that can have (significant) consequences for people. These are decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without a person (for example, an employee of RTiOT) being involved.

How long we keep personal data

The personal data collected is not kept longer than the business operations require or legally required. Wherever possible, personal data will be deleted after eight (8) weeks after termination of the agreement.

Sharing of personal data with third parties

RTiOT does not sell your data to third parties and only provides this data if this is necessary for the implementation of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. RTiOT remains responsible for these processes.

RTiOT uses only technical, functional and analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferences. We can also use this to optimize our website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can also delete all information that was previously saved via the settings in your browser.

Your rights regarding your personal data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by RTiOT. Furthermore you have the right to data transferability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization mentioned by you. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@rtiot.nl.

To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we request that you send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Blacken your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen service number (BSN) in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.

How we secure personal data

We handle your personal and company details very carefully. Anyone who has nothing to do with your data simply will not be added. In addition, we take the necessary administrative, technical and organizational measures to do everything in our power to secure your data, to treat it confidentially and to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access or unauthorized use. With these measures we guarantee an appropriate level of protection, taking into account the latest technology and costs. RTiOT reserves the right to change this privacy statement. Every amendment will be published on our website. We advise you to visit our website on a regular basis, in order to see if many changes have been made.
